This prestigious honor places HT-X1™ Plus among the Top 10 most innovative microscopy products in the world, as selected by the Microscopy Society of America (MSA) and Microscopy Today magazine.
The award recognizes products that provide entirely new, better, or more efficient ways of performing microscopy or microanalysis, with strong emphasis on real-world usefulness to the scientific community.
This marks Tomocube’s second time receiving this award, following the selection of the HT-2H in 2019, and further cements our leadership as a global pioneer in holotomography and multimodal 3D imaging. We are especially honored to be the first Korean company to receive this distinction twice—a milestone that underscores Korea’s growing influence in cutting-edge bioimaging innovation.
A Next-Generation Platform for Live-Cell and Organoid Imaging
The HT-X1™ Plus represents the next evolution in label-free, 3D imaging technology. By integrating low-coherence holotomography, multichannel epifluorescence, and spinning disk confocal (SDC) modules into a single, seamless platform, researchers can simultaneously capture quantitative structural and molecular data from live cells, organoids, and thick tissue samples.
With its AI-powered analysis tools, wide field-of-view, and high-speed acquisition, the HT-X1™ Plus significantly enhances research productivity—making it ideal for applications in stem cell research, oncology, regenerative medicine, and high-throughput drug screening.

The official award presentation will take place at the Microscopy & Microanalysis 2025 (M&M 2025) conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, where the HT-X1™ Plus will be featured among other top global innovations in the field.

홀로토모그래피 기반 이미징 전문기업 토모큐브(대표이사 박용근)는 자사의 최신 제품인 ‘HT-X1 Plus’가 ‘Microscopy Today Innovation Award 2025’를 수상했다고 밝혔다. 이 상은 미국 현미경학회(Microscopy Society of America, MSA)가 주관하는 현미경 기술 분야에서 최고의 혁신적 기술을 인정하는 권위 있는 상으로, 매년 전 세계 10대 혁신 제품만을 선정하여 수여한다.
Microscopy Today Innovation Award는 전 세계 과학계가 인정하는 현미경 분야의 ‘노벨상’으로 불리며, 매년 기술 혁신성과 실용성을 동시에 갖춘 신제품을 엄선하여 수여한다. 올해 토모큐브는 2019년 수상 제품 HT-2H에 이어 아시아 최초로 2회 수상의 영예를 안았다. 토모큐브는 2019년 Microscopy Today Innovation Award를 수상하며 기술력과 혁신성을 전 세계에 알린 바 있다.
HT-X1 Plus는 기존 제품인 HT-2H의 레이저 기반 기술에서 한 걸음 더 나아가, LED를 기반으로 한 2세대 홀로토모그래피 기술을 상용화한 차세대 모델이다. 이 제품은 세포를 염색하지 않고도 3차원으로 관찰할 수 있는 비표지(label-free) 이미징 기술을 바탕으로, 형광 이미징과 AI 기반의 정량 분석 기능까지 하나의 플랫폼에 통합해 연구자들의 편의성과 분석 효율을 대폭 향상시켰다.
특히 HT-X1 Plus는 스피닝-디스크 공초점 형광 현미경(Spinning-Disc Confocal Microscopy) 기술과 통합하여, 세포 내 분자의 형광 정보와 세포 구조의 입체적인 정보를 동시에 제공한다. 이를 통해 세포의 구조적 변화와 기능을 더 정밀하게 이해하고 분석할 수 있으며, 생명과학 및 정밀의학 분야에서 연구자들의 실질적인 실험 효율성을 크게 향상시킬 수 있다.
HT-X1 Plus는 멀티모달 영상 통합 기능을 갖추고 있어, 형광 현미경, 공초점 현미경, 홀로토모그래피 등 다양한 이미징 기법을 하나의 플랫폼에서 실시간으로 구현할 수 있다. 특히 고속 멀티웰 플레이트 스캔 기능을 통해 96개의 샘플을 30분 이내에 분석할 수 있어, 연구자들에게 더욱 효율적인 실험 환경을 제공한다.
Microscopy Today Innovation Award는 산학연 전문가들에 의해 혁신성, 실용성, 효율성을 기준으로 평가되며, 7~10단계의 심사를 거쳐 수상작이 선정된다. 이번 수상은 HT-X1 Plus가 기존 기술을 뛰어넘는 혁신성과 연구 효율성을 인정받았음을 의미하며, 토모큐브는 국제적인 바이오이미징 혁신 기업으로서의 입지를 더욱 강화했다.
